It it is Alex :)
First I want to say I am ok and second I want to say thank you, thank you, and thank you for all of your support and checking up on me. Thanks for the calls, the books, the notes, emails, and the love. Amazing...really amazing :) I cannot tell you how much it helped in some of the past few weeks that were so hard.
I do not have much energy to sit here long but I wanted to update you really quick.
My fever broke last Monday finally. When I went back to the hospital on that Thursday I said that I did not want anything for the fever unless it got to 104 or 105 again so that that my body could use it's own resources to kill whatever was lurking. So Monday was the day....
I have slowly gotten better since but am exhausted. My temps have been 99 on a few nights but that is it. I am unfortunaetly now anemic from all of the blood draws and have lovely black color underneath my eyes which matches my pail color so well.
I left the hospital on Monday or Tuesday....cannot remember and have snuggled in a permanet position on the couch with my dogs and kitties. So much better than the hospital. David got home Sunday night from his brother's wedding and snuck in to see me :)
The complications from the lumbar puncture are almost completely gone! Those were horrible! I am now weaning off the morphine.
I will update with more info very soon.
